Divisional Secretariats: Vehicle Requirement — Question No. 1571/2025 to the Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government: (a) Will he inform this House: (i) the total number of Divisional Secretariats in Sri Lanka; (ii) the total number of vehicles allocated to them; (iii) whether there are adequate roadworthy vehicles for Divisional Secretaries’ duties at present; (iv) if not, the number of Secretariats which do not have roadworthy vehicles; (v) whether the Government has a systematic and expeditious programme to provide new vehicles or maintain existing vehicles for efficient field services of Divisional Secretaries; (vi) whether vehicle requirements for administrative purposes have been identified by now; and (vii) if so, whether an expected time frame has been set for providing those vehicles and budgetary allocations made? (b) If not, why?
