Hon. Sujeewa Dissanayake submitted a written question (No. 1601/2025) to the Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education seeking detailed information regarding official vehicles allocated to the Minister of City Planning and Water Supply appointed on 9 November 2018 during the Eighth Parliament. The question requests the registration numbers, types, and models of those vehicles, the duration of their allocation, and the monthly fuel entitlements and actual fuel consumption (in litres and expenditure) for each vehicle throughout the minister's tenure. The question is directed at the Prime Minister in her capacity as the relevant minister responsible for providing such government administrative records.
Question to the Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education (No. 1601/2025):
(a) Will she inform this House the
(i) number of official vehicles allocated by the then Government to the Minister of City Planning and Water Supply appointed on 09.11.2018 in the Eighth Parliament;
(ii) registration number, type and model of those vehicles, separately; and
(iii) duration for which those vehicles were allocated?
(b) Will she also inform this House the
(i) monthly fuel entitlement for each of those vehicles, separately; and
(ii) amount of fuel spent monthly in litres and expenditure incurred for each of those vehicles, separately, during the period when the said Minister held office?
(c) If not, why?
