Hon. (Dr.) Anil Jayantha moved a resolution on behalf of the Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education seeking parliamentary approval for an import duties measure under Section 10 of the Customs Ordinance (Chapter 235). The resolution, originally presented on 2026-02-05 and published in Gazette Extraordinary No. 2464/15 dated 2025-11-25, had received prior Cabinet approval.

On behalf of the Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education, I move: “Under section 10 of the Customs Ordinance (Chapter 235), the resolution on import duties presented on 2026-02-05 and published in Gazette Extraordinary No. 2464/15 of 2025-11-25, be approved. (Cabinet approval has been granted.)”
