Minister of Justice and National Integration Harshana Nanayakkara informed the House that he is unable to answer a question raised by Hon. Sujeewa Senasinghe, as the requested information from the Judicial Service Commission has not yet been received. The Minister noted that Senasinghe is absent from the House having been informed of this delay, and formally requested that the question be carried forward without prejudice to a future sitting once the information becomes available.
Hon. Presiding Member, to obtain the information requested by Hon. Sujeewa Senasinghe, I informed the Judicial Service Commission. However, the information has not yet been received. Therefore, I am unable to answer the question today. I informed Hon. Sujeewa Senasinghe accordingly, which is why he is not in the House. So that he is not prejudiced, I wish to place this on record and request that his question be taken up without prejudice at a future sitting once the information is available.
