asked the Minister of Health and Mass Media (Q. No. 1328/2025) —
(a) Will he inform this House:
(i) the year in which the nursing service was established in Sri Lanka;
(ii) separately, the number of male and female nurses currently serving;
(iii) the primary functions of the nursing service;
(iv) the qualifications required to join the nursing service;
(v) whether nurses have been facilitated to complete their professional qualifications; and
(vi) whether nurses have been facilitated to pursue higher education?
