In 1963, the World Bank recommended upgrading our nursing service to degree level. Yet we still run it as a diploma programme. On 16.03.2025, we discussed this with the Hon. Minister of Education, and even held an advisory committee. Nearly a year has passed. What are the current obstacles to upgrading Sri Lanka’s nursing service to degree level?
